On 21st of September 2024, Pakse-Japan SME SEZ (PJSEZ) has signed a Letter of Interest (LOI) for providing the land in PJSEZ for SEZ Carbon Neutralization Demonstration Project.

PJSEZ has signed a LOI for providing the land in PJSEZ and support for SEZ Carbon Neutralization Demonstration Project with Lao Green Hydrogen Co., Ltd., TSB Greenex Co., Ltd. and Phetsavang Joint Development Corporation at Crown Plaza Hotel, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR, which the ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Malaithong, Minster of Industry and Commerce of the Lao PDR and Mr. Yoshida, Vice Minister of Economic, Trade and Industry of Japan.
After signing of the LOI as above, PJSEZ will start to register the investment license in PJSEZ for Lao Green Hydrogen Co., Ltd. soon and in 2026, the plant will be operational, producing hydrogen and using that hydrogen to roast coffee.
