Mr. Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister and Director of the Prime Minister’s Office Visits PJSEZ to Support Project Development
On 14 July 2026, Mr. Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister and Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, led a delegation from the central government and Champasak Province to visit Pakse-Japan SME SEZ Development Co., Ltd. (PJSEZ). The visit was conducted to monitor the progress of the project development and provide support to ensure the continued advancement of PJSEZ.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Mochizuki, Managing Director of PJSEZ, together with the management team and staff at the PJSEZ Conference Room. During the meeting, PJSEZ management presented an overview of the development progress and current operations related to the ongoing development of the Special Economic Zone.
Following the briefing session, the delegation visited the pilot hydrogen roasted coffee factory of Lao Green Hydrogen Co., Ltd. (LGH) at Rental Factory No.2, where they observed the pilot production facility utilizing green hydrogen technology for coffee roasting. The delegation also received an update on the progress of LGH’s new factory, which is currently under construction of building structure works in PJSEZ.
During the visit, Mr. Bouakhong Nammavong, on behalf of the Government of the Lao PDR, reaffirmed the Government’s continued commitment to supporting the development of PJSEZ. He further emphasized the importance of coordination among relevant authorities in Champasak Province to facilitate solutions for remaining development issues and strengthen the One Stop Service mechanism, with the aim of ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective business operations for foreign investors and companies operating in PJSEZ in the future.
PJSEZ highly appreciates the Government’s continued support and guidance, which plays an important role in promoting investment, strengthening industrial development, and enhancing the business environment within PJSEZ and Champasak Province, Laos.
