The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare visits PJSEZ

On 13 March 2026, Mr. Phoxay Sayyasone, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare of the Lao PDR (MLSW), with his delegation from Central Government in Vientiane Capital and some high-ranking provincial officials and Champasak Provincial Investment Promotion and Management Committee (CIPMC) visited the Pakse-Japan SME Special Economic Zone (PJSEZ). They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mochizuki, Managing Director of PJSEZ, and staff.
During the visit, they toured at Lao Green Hydrogen Co., Ltd., a project for hydrogen-roasted coffee, currently operating a pilot factory in a PJSEZ while its main plant is under construction. The Minister expressed his appreciation to PJSEZ for providing local employment and highlighted the importance of creating job opportunities in the southern Laos in the future.

He has promised that the central government will support the Provincial Labor and Social Welfare Department to train more workers to supply to companies in PJSEZ in the near future.
